Carry His Word With You

You are standing in a moment that feels heavier than you expected.

Maybe it’s a quiet kind of stress—the kind that creeps in during a long day. Maybe it’s fear, sudden and sharp. Or maybe it’s doubt, whispering questions you don’t know how to answer. Your hand drifts almost instinctively into your pocket or your bag, searching for something steady.

And there it is.

A small, cool piece of metal. Solid. Present. Real. You turn it over in your fingers, feeling the smooth weight of it, and then you read the words engraved there—words you’ve heard before, maybe even memorized—but somehow, here and now, they land differently. Not floating on a page. Not passing across a screen. But resting in your hand, meeting you exactly where you are.

“Be strong and courageous… for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
(Joshua 1:9)

In that moment, it is not just a verse.
It is a lifeline.
